How does pricing work?
Free is $0 and includes 3 small cubes, 10 GB of bandwidth and 300 build minutes a month. Launch and Scale have no plan fee and no minimum: you pay for the vCPU-hours your cubes use, measured by the second, plus bandwidth and build minutes beyond what's included. You get one bill at the end of the month.
What's a vCPU-hour?
One vCPU running for one hour, with its 1 GiB of memory. A small cube (0.5 vCPU) running all month uses 365 vCPU-hours, which is $5 on Launch. A cube that sleeps uses nothing.
Why does Scale cost more per hour?
The rate pays for what Scale adds: larger cubes, more replicas, longer logs and metrics, a 99.9% uptime SLA, and priority support. Pick the plan for the features you need; you can switch at any time.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free runs up to 3 small cubes that sleep when nobody's using them, with 10 GB of bandwidth and 300 build minutes a month, and needs no card.
Is there a launch offer?
Yes. New accounts get their first $20 of usage free on Launch or Scale.
Can I cap what I spend?
Yes. Every paid account has a monthly spending limit: $100 on Launch and $500 on Scale to start, and you can raise or lower it any time. We email you at 80% and 100%, and you decide what happens when you reach it.
What if I go over my bandwidth or build minutes?
On Free, they stop until the next month, with a warning first. On paid plans, bandwidth beyond what's included is $0.20 per GB and build minutes are $0.01 each.
Do preview environments cost extra?
Previews run on cubes like everything else, so they use vCPU-hours while they're up. Plans limit how many run at once (10 on Launch, 30 on Scale), and each one goes away when its pull request closes.
What does Enterprise include?
A dedicated node (more at $800 a month), SSO, a 99.9% uptime SLA, onboarding and migration help, a dedicated contact, and your own contract and invoicing. From $1,000 a month.
